The Rubii Dashboard now offers an enhanced way to compare your campaign performance directly within the Table widget. With the new Data Comparison Table feature, you can easily analyze how your campaigns are performing across different date ranges.
How to Use the Comparison Table
To start comparing your data, follow these steps:
- Open your Table widget.
- In the Edit Table section, you'll see a new option: "Add Comparison to Table."
- Check this box to enable the comparison functionality.
Understanding the Comparison View
Once "Add Comparison to Table" is selected, your table will transform to show comparison data. You'll notice a few key changes:
- Three Rows per Campaign: For each of your campaigns, you'll now see three distinct rows:
- Current Period: Your data for the primary reporting period.
- Comparison Period: Your data for the selected comparison period.
- Percentage Change: The calculated percentage difference between the current and comparison periods.
- Color-Coded Changes:
- Green: Indicates a positive percentage change.
- Red: Indicates a negative percentage change.
- Enhanced Table Header: The table header will now display:
- Your campaign metrics (e.g., Impressions, Clicks, Conversions).
- The dates for both your reporting period and your comparison period, giving you a clear overview.
Choosing Your Comparison Dates
When you enable "Add Comparison to Table," a new section with comparison date controls will appear.
- Predefined Date Ranges: Use the dropdown menu to quickly select from popular comparison periods:
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- This week
- Last week
- This month
- Last month
- This quarter
- Last quarter
- Year to date
- Last year
- Custom
- Custom Date Range: Select "Custom" from the dropdown to define your own specific comparison period using the "From" and "To" date fields.
The dates you select for your comparison period will automatically appear in the table header.
Formatting and Editing Cells
The Data Comparison Table allows for cell formatting and editing:
- Double-click on any cell in the table. This will activate the Format tab.
- The Cell edit panel will appear within the Format tab.
- The input field will show the current value of the selected cell.
- Update: Click the "Update" button to save any changes you've made to the cell value.
- Cancel: Click the "Cancel" button to discard your changes.
Important Note on Cell Values: When you click on any cell, you'll see three corresponding values in the Format Tab:
- The Original value from the current period.
- The Compared to value from the comparison period.
- The Percentage change calculated based on user input.
Managing Your Comparison Table
- Table Column Sorting: You can sort your table columns. Sorting will be based on the original table rows.
- Refresh: Click the "Refresh" option to reload all the data in your table.
- Add Row: To add new data, use the "Add Row" option. This will add three associated rows (current period, comparison period, and percentage change) for a new campaign or data entry.
- Delete Row: To delete a set of three associated rows:
- Select any row within the group you wish to delete (current, comparison, or percentage change). All three associated rows will automatically highlight.
- Right-click on the highlighted selection.
- Choose "Delete" from the context menu.
- Clone: Use the "Clone" option to create an exact copy of your entire comparison table.
- Delete: To remove the entire table widget, use the "Delete" option.
Note: The Data Comparison Table widget has limited options compared to the existing standard table (e.g., it does not support upload or download features).
