Table widgets let you visualize campaign data from your source data directly on your Rubii dashboard. If you'd like to display manual content instead — such as offline campaign data, glossary of terms, reference notes, or other information your team needs at a glance — that's possible too. You do this in Excel by downloading the widget, making your changes, and uploading it back. This article walks you through that process.
Before you begin
- Make sure you have Microsoft Excel (or a compatible spreadsheet application) installed.
- You’ll need edit access to the Rubii dashboard you want to update.
Add a table widget
If you don’t already have a table widget on your dashboard, add one first. Once it’s in place, you’re ready to edit its content.
Download the widget content
- On the table widget, click the small downward arrow in the top-right corner.
- Select Download from the dropdown menu. An Excel file will download to your computer.
Edit the content
- Open the downloaded file in Excel.
- Update it with your glossary of terms or any other manual content you’d like to display.
- Save the file to your computer.
Upload your changes
- Return to your Rubii dashboard and click the same downward arrow on the table widget.
- Select Upload from the dropdown menu.
- Choose your edited Excel file to upload it.
Your table widget will now display the updated content.
Tips
- Keep the column structure intact. Edit the values within the existing layout rather than removing or rearranging columns, so the content uploads cleanly.
- Re-download before each edit. Always start from a freshly downloaded file to make sure you’re working with the most current version of the widget.
